Children's Books & Journals

Books and journals help children to understand the world around them and how they fit into society as a whole. Books expand vocabularies, spark imagination, and teach empathy by letting children step into other lives or to see how they fit into their own surroundings.

Journals act as a safe space. They help children express big feelings, manage stress, and practice clear communication.

How Books Help a Child
  • Building Bricks: Reading regularly introduces new words. This speeds up a child's ability to learn and talk. Reading soaks up new information for later use.
  • Growing Empathy: Stories introduce different characters. When a child sees how a character feels, they learn to understand other people's feelings in real life.
  • Boosting Focus: Sitting still to listen to or read a book helps to develop a child's understanding of their own wellbeing and those around them.
